Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must ensure they fulfill the following eligibility conditions:

  • Minimum Essential Qualification:
    • 10+2 (Senior Secondary) / equivalent OR Matriculation with additional qualification is required for eligibility to appear in CET for Group-C posts.
    • Equivalency of qualification to 10+2 will be as per Haryana Government notification no. 17/20/2015-3GS-II dated 22/02/2021 (Appendix B).
    • Note for 2025 Examinees: Applicants who do not possess the minimum educational qualification on or before the last date of online application for CET, but are due to appear for the examination to attain the prescribed qualification during the year 2025, are also eligible to apply for CET.
  • Age Limit:
    • Candidates should be not less than 18 years of age and not more than 42 years of age as on the closing date of registration.
    • Age relaxation for eligible candidates will be as per Haryana Govt. Instructions No. 22/06/2021-1GS-III, Dated 25th March, 2022 (Appendix-D).
  • Experience (for Age Relaxation):
    • Experience will be considered only after acquiring the essential qualification.
    • Experience certificate must be issued by the competent authority of the concerned Department/Board/Corporation of Haryana Government, including Government-aided institutions under Haryana Government.
    • The certificate must clearly mention designation, date of joining, period of service, and date of issuance (Performa at Annexure-I).
  • Reservation:
    • Benefit of reservation is available only to DSC or OSC, BCA (Non-Creamy Layer)/BCB (Non-Creamy Layer), EWS, ESP, PwD, and ESM candidates who are bonafide residents of Haryana.
    • Candidates from other states will be considered as General category.
    • Certificate Validity:
      • BCA/BCB: Fresh/latest certificate issued on or after 01.04.2025 and on or before the closing date of registration for CET, as per Haryana Govt. instructions (Appendix-E). Certificates for Panchayati Raj Elections are not valid.
      • EWS: Certificate valid for the year in which the candidate applied, issued on or after 01/04/2025 and on or before the closing date of registration for CET, as per Haryana Govt. instructions (Annexure-III).
      • DSC/OSC: Certificate must have been issued on or before the closing date of registration for CET, clearly mentioning the sub-category (Appendix-G).
      • ESM & Dependents: Valid eligibility certificate issued or renewed after 13.06.2024 as per format (Annexure IV).
      • Freedom Fighters (Children/Grandchildren): As per Govt. Instructions (Appendix-I).
      • PwBD: List of benchmark disabilities as per RPwD Act, 2016 and Govt. instructions (Appendix J).

Application Process

  • How to Apply:
    1. Registration: All applicants must register by providing required particulars and documents on the designated portal: onetimeregn.haryana.gov.in.
    2. Candidates who appeared in or registered for CET 2022 (held on 05th & 06th November 2022) must use the same CET Registration No. used for CET 2022. New applicants will be allocated a new Registration Number.
    3. Online Application: After registration, submit the application form online.
    4. Fill details correctly and upload scanned copies of mandatory documents (category-wise list provided in Chapter 9 of the notification). This includes educational qualifications, Matric certificate, photograph, signature, Aadhar card, Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP if applicable), Haryana Bonafide Resident certificate, relevant reservation certificates, and an undertaking (Annexure-VII).
    5. Ensure whole documents are scanned, including both sides if printed on both sides.
    6. Submit/upload a signed copy of the application form at the time of final submission. Take a final printout for records.
    7. No change/correction/modification is allowed after final submission of the online application.
  • Application Fee for CET:
    • The category-wise application fee is payable online (Net Banking, Debit/Credit Card, etc.) as prescribed in Notification No. 42/119/2019-5HR-II dated 31st December, 2024 (Appendix A).
    • The standard rate is Rs. 1,000/- or as fixed by the Government. Concessional rates (e.g., 50% or 25% of standard rate) apply to various categories of Haryana residents based on whether they provide PP Number/Aadhaar or not (Refer to fee table in Appendix A).
    • Fee once paid is non-refundable.
    • Applicants who deposited the fee for CET 2022 and wish to re-appear to improve marks must deposit the fee again.

Examination Criteria

  • Level of Question Paper: Senior Secondary Education (10+2 level), except for Hindi and English subjects which will be of Matriculation level.
  • Pattern of Examination:
    • Total Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs): 100
    • Total Marks: 100
    • Duration: 1 Hour 45 Minutes
    • Mode: Offline (OMR based) written examination.
    • Language: Bilingual (English & Hindi).
    • Marking Scheme: Each question has four options. An additional fifth circle/bubble is provided. If a candidate does not wish to attempt a question, they must fill the fifth circle. Failure to fill any circle for an un-attempted question will result in a deduction of one mark. There is no negative marking for a wrong option being filled.
  • Minimum Qualifying Marks for CET:
    • General Category: 50%
    • Reserved Category (Vertical & Horizontal): 40%
  • Syllabus for CET: The detailed syllabus is appended at Appendix-C of the notification. It generally includes:
